Thanks Graham, I hope they are still there on Thursday this week. It's
about time for a tick.

G'day Birders, last Friday (May 2nd) I saw several thousand flock
bronzewings along the Mitchell Hwy between Cunnamulla and Charleville.
They
seemed to be coming in to drink at the borrow pits along the side of the
road, others were seen feeding on the road. The conditions here are
drying
out after a clearly good season with lots of high grass still with
plenty of
seed.
There were also lots of raptors, including lots of Spotted Harriers, but
was
unable to find any Grey Falcons or Letter winged kites, but they must
surely
be in the area.
This was about the 6th location for this species over the last 4 weeks
of
travelling, but was by far the largest number of birds.
Cheers
Graham Turner
