Tom, this additional birdline site has litterally just been launched so you
picked it up real fast (I've only just accessed in myself)! I think you
identify some interesting points here - clearly the site needs to have
sightings that are of national interest and I think this really needs to be
well controlled by the moderators - but like all things this will be a
learning experience until we get it "right" but generally these are the key
points:
1. Reports posted to Birdline Australia will also be posted to the regional birdline, where one exists. 2. Regional birdline moderators will be able to forward reports to Birdline Australia. 3. Birdline Australia moderators will be able to acquire reports from regional birdlines just by entering the sighting number. Hope this helps address yr concerns. Simon.
