Hi Max,
They probably mean Whiskered Tern, Chlidonias hybridus. "Marsh Tern"
is often used, unfortunately, for a few members of the Chlidonias genus.
Cheers,

Hi everyone.
On the brochure for the bird routes of the Pilliga, it says there are
occasionally Marsh Terns at Carmel Lagoon. Is the name Marsh Tern
just an old name for Whiskered Tern or something else?
Max.
