My lack of technical grammatical knowledge in English sure makes learning a second language much more difficult - but never prevents me from having a strong opinion on English grammatical matters! I'll never agree with the proposition that RENs (Recommended English Names) of birds not be capitalised ... black falcon, little penguin, small minivet, green junglefowl etc. - species names or just jaunty little descriptions? -- ++++++++++++ Lawrie Conole 28 Reid Street Northcote, VIC 3070 AUSTRALIA lconole[at]gmail.com 0419 588 993 =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
