The interesting thing for me about this Swarovski gizmo (which looks like it
could be really handy) is that it only works properly with digicams that
have a protruding zoom lens - the very opposite of what used to be the
digiscoping cam of choice - the old Nikon Coolpix 4500 with its completely
internal zoom mechanism - which is of course what I have!

The gizmo is relatively cheap (~US$30), I have the requisite bins (SLC
10x42), but buying a new digicam to fit in the gizmo is not really cost
effective - and the CP4500 is an all round great digicam (with superb
macrophotography ability) I'm loathe to part with yet :-)

Ah well ...
