Alan, Tyto wetlands is in Ingham and Birds Australia North Queensland and
have a useful web site which has neat aerial views of the site. See the
link below.
We stayed up that way last year at an old style caravan and cabin park
just south of the wetlands. Spent several trips to the wetlands which are
great although the wild pigs digging up the water edges was a bit
depressing. Great spot for Crimson Finches but the Grass Owl hasn't been
reported for a few years now I seem to recall ...!

Hi Birders,
I am planning a trip up north later in the year and wish to spend the
night
near the Tyto Wetlands so that I can try and see the Grass Owl. However I
don't remember the name of the nearest town. Can some one please help me?
