My understanding is that there is confusion surrounding the label Green
Figbird. This common name is better applied to the nominate form which is
sometimes treated as distinct. The three recognised by both IOC and Clements
are
viridis - Lesser Sundas (Timor or Green)
hypoleucus - Lesser Sundas (Wetar)
vielloti - New Guinea and Australia. (Green or Australian or Australasian)
