Dear All,
Anyone who would like to tick the Sandhill Crane (virtually), go to
http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/cranecam/

The annual CraneCam is up and running and you can get some pretty good views of Sandhill Cranes (Grus canadesis) at the Audubon Society's Rowe Sanctuary on the Platte River in Nebraska, USA. Please note the time difference before you all rush off to have a look.

Seeing as you are viewing the Cranes in real time surely one can claim them as a tick, after all there is not any real difference between viewing via a real time video link and a spotting scope;)

With the way things are going with the environment this may be the last resort for the twitcher. The subject of remote twitching has already been raised in some SF stories.

Cheers,

Carl Clifford
