There was rain all across Melbourne this morning but there's still plenty of mud showing from the southern platform. Only stopped for a few minutes tonight but saw five Spotless Crakes out. The mud that was showing from the northern platform is now mostly covered. It seems that this end of the pond is actually a big puddle. It has collected all the rain that flowed in today. A bit of a pity as the birds have been showing well here. They still might, but not as often. There's a chance it'll soak through to the main pond overnight. Location: Melways ref 54C10, behind Mt St Joseph Girls' College. Park at the corner of Galvin St and Civic Pde.
