Water has dropped to a good level, with a foot wide strip of mud oppopsite the southern platform. Saw a Lewin's wallk left all the way along it at 7am today. A few minutes later a possible second bird seen feeding for more than a minute around the gap between the two reed types opposite the same platform. Also a couple of Spotless Crakes seen. For future reference the gauge is reading about 1.07m. Also there is no wind, which seems to be important.
