Let's hope the developers issue nose pegs to the people who buy the
houses.

WTPland

Wyndham Council has formally approved the development of part of the
current Western Treatment Plant as the Riverwalk housing development.
The local paper says it will take all of the land in the triangle formed
by the Werribee River, Farm Rd and the Freeway although the website (
http://www.vicurban.com/cs/Satellite?c=VPage&cid=1148415559491&pagename=
VicUrban%2FLayout&site=VicUrban)
shows it as taking the area between the Geelong Rd, Werribee River and
Freeway) and has long been planned. The area is not of high interest to
birders (although any loss of open space is of course not good) but
probably means the loss of access to the WTP via New Farm Rd.
