Personally, laughter is not my response. This makes me sick. People (including, sadly, some birders it seems) are so selfish and thoughtless. Why go out of your way to ignore "constant warnings to stay off the island" It is highly inappropriate to interact, feed or play with a working dog. There are plenty of other dogs in Australia and Warrnambool area. Many are neglected and underfed. If people must interact with dogs by "....... taking out food, squeaky toys and balls ....." perhaps they could do this for an animal that NEEDS food and company! Maybe they could volunteer at the local animal shelter. They should not interfere with a well fed and cared for animal doing an important job. Wendy |
