I visited the Banyule Flats Reserve yesterday afternoon and was rewarded
with very good views of up to ten Lathams Snipe (is snipe the plural of
snipe?) feeding, flying and resting in the wetland next to the ovals
(Melway 32 E2).
All of my previous encounters with Lathams Snipe have been very fleeting so
it was good to be able to study them in detail.
