I wonder how many get killed on a freeway each week (which is a piece of
infrastructure that contributes greatly to global warming) compared to those
that get hit by wind-turbines (which could help to relieve global warming).
Yet we get lots of fuss about the effect windfarms have on birds. I
understand that in some places they might endanger rare birds which is
unlikely to be the case on the Eastern Fwy, but in general I think such
protests are rather mis-placed.
