Hi all, I have a bird bath situated amongst some Oleander shrubs and from time to time a number of the flowers are blown into the water. The Nerium oleander is part of the dog bane family Apocynaceae - the sap is poisonous, and I am wondering if the flowers are also toxic and poisoning the water. I hope I’m not giving the wild birds that come to drink and bathe a high or worse still!!! Does anyone know if the flowers might be affecting the water?
