Whilst I prefer the user interface and features of both Eremaea and
Birdpedia to those of Birdata, there is a lot more data in Birdata and as BA
are a partner of Birdlife International I am surprised it is not already
linked in. Having researched it further I doubt that taxonomy is a major
issue - the system links to national databases and so presumably accepts the
taxonomy they use. It is only an issue if you try and generate a "life list"
from the various sets of records - and since you will need to be fluent in
many languages to do this (the first one I linked to was Bulgarian) I
suspect that is not likely!
