Birdstack and knee-jerk reactions

When someone writes:

"I haven't looked at it, but do we need more of these?  Does it do anything 
the
other online databases don't do?"

I call that a knee-jerk reaction.

How else could making such a negative remark about something the writer 
obviously didn't have a clue about (by his own admission) be described?
I promise that is the last word I will have on this forum about this topic.
