Hi Carol,

At Killcare on the Central Coast of NSW we recently saw two Tawny Frogmouths 
lying on the ground with wings spread out wide at about midday. It was the 
first strong sunlight after some heavy rains and the birds certainly looked as 
though they were sun-baking. Our first thought was that they were drying their 
feathers in the sun, although anting is also a possibility. I have a photo if 
anyone is interested.
