Folks,

A great morning at Penrhyn with excellent views of White Winged Black Tern
(over the water with a large 30 bird plus group of Common Terns, showing off
its white rump and light-grey tail) and a moulting Sanderling [flagged in SA
– red over yellow right leg, metal band left leg, band number “ || 042 – 496
|| “ (yes that’s right thanks to my Kowa 88)]. The WWBT has now been seen 3
days in a row always with the Common Terns – but each time has required a
wait of about an hour as the Terns group comes and goes.

I’m off air for a few weeks from tomorrow – moving house, with the internet
re-connection process byzantine and very slow!).

Have a great Xmas and New Year – Be Safe and Don’t Get Caught!

Cheers,

Graham Buchan
