Little Corellas in Geelong

Whilst my birding buddies were dodging bushfires in the far north-west
corner of Victoria over the weekend, I was at home working. While I was
missing out on great birds like Spotted Nightjar, White-browed Treecreeper
and Southern Scrub-Robin, I had some consolation from a noisy flock of
Little Corella (spot the tautology!) here on the northern shores of Corio
Bay. There are at least 30 birds in the flock and they've been here since
Friday. Today there seems to be more of them, but maybe they are just more
noisy!

I've recorded Little Corella here only once before - it's usually
Long-billed that are in the farmlands around Geelong. Has anyone else
noticed Corellas expanding into new areas, or is this more likely to be
something to do with the drought?
