Hi All,

Off to Tasmania for 11 days next week and would appreciate any
information regarding good birding areas around Strahan. I've seen it
mentioned in a few posts, but no particular reserves or parks have been
mentioned.

It's over 30 years since we've been there and Strahan was just a little
sleepy fishing village from which one tourist boat, the Denison Star, took
visitors up the beautiful Gordon River. Birding was not even a
consideration in those days.

After going on the pelagic from Eaglehawk Neck, we'll be travelling around
Hobart for 6 days visiting Peter Murrell Reserve, Bruny Island and the
Tahune Airwalk.

So any info regarding reserves etc in those areas would also be very
welcome.

My ULTIMATE tick for the island would be a SCRUBTIT. This will be my third
visit to Fern Glade, so I'm hoping 'third time lucky'.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Happy birding and thanks

Marlene.
