Hello All, Birding will not be the same for me without Dave's cheerful presence .We travelled and birded together for many thousands of miles both in Australia and overseas, he was the quintessential birder and traveller always helpful and thoughtful for others . His happy optimism brightened many an impossible situation and we shared many of those special birding moments Our relationship was more that of brothers than friends. In future, every time the phone rings a familiar voice will say-----"G'day , young fella , when are we going to Kakadu again to get that Banded Fruitdove ?" Now, I;m afraid he has answered his own question!
