Hey all,
Just thought I'd share this funny experience with you.
I have been birding recently around the Thai / Laos border (specifically around
the lake near Chiang Saen) and came across a group of 3 very boisterous
Grey-headed Lapwings (no, there were no Cockatiels or Galahs!). Imagine the
shock I got when they went to run away and I noticed one of them had a
reasonably bad limp! I instantly studied it's foot and no, there was no
golf-ball attached to it.
But it did get me thinking....?
Surely not!?
Incidentally, I have also added more bird images from South America, as well as
some from Morocco (including one of the Crimson-winged Finch and some nice ones
of Cream-coloured Coursers - possibly the favourite bird of my journey). They
are under various Sub-albums at:

If anyone wants to be forwarded a quasi trip-report from any of these places,
just let me know.
Regards,
Mick Roderick
