Some sightings from the Boorowa area on the south-west slopes of NSW during
a visit yesterday afternoon:
At a small wetland along Little Plains Ck near Frogmore were 1 RED-KNEED
DOTTEREL, 1
AUSTRALASIAN SHOVELER, 6 AUSTRALIAN SHELDUCK and various other ducks. In
the adjacent fields were 3 WHITE-FRONTED CHATS, RUFOUS SONGLARKS and 1
BROWN SONGLARK among
others.
SUPERB PARROTS were quite common seen on numerous occasions. I also came
across a recently deceased TAWNY FROGMOUTH along Taylors Flat Rd.
Woodland birds along Taylors Flat Rd included RED-CAPPED ROBIN, PEACEFUL
DOVE and CRESTED SHRIKE-TIT.
Cheers
