Hi David

What a fascinating topic!

I'll be the first to stick my neck out and estimate ....

Grey Falcon: just one - it flies in random directions across the
continent trying to avoid birders

Lewin's Rail: not many, perhaps a dozen or so - less mobile than the Grey
Falcon of course, and move in and out of reed beds trying to avoid me.

Australian Magpie: Not sure about this one - I'm still counting ....

Russell

PS Seriously now - does anyone know of any areas where Red Wattlebirds,
Noisy Miners and Crested Pigeons have declined over the last decade or
two? These may well be the survivors as we move towards a birding
"monoculture".
