Received a phone-call from a local carer today who had an unusual Spotted Dove brought in. He is quite used to this species and also has three juveniles currently. He is trying to ascertain whether the bird is a colour-mutation or a hybrid, it certainly seems to have an unusual eye-colour and neck-band. Have a look at my latest image page on the ABID ( http://www.aviceda.org/abid/newimages.php) If you have any ideas I will pass them on, Tom -- ******************************** Tom & Marie Tarrant Samsonvale, Qld http://www.aviceda.org http://wildlife.vodpod.com/ ******************************** =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
