My old, 1983, Ali and Ripley for Indian birds had Black, migrans,
Pariah, govinda, and Black-eared, lineatus, as sub-species of the Black
Kite and I had seen the Pariah and Black-eared near Bombay, now Mumbai
, in 1984. Hey but then we had a heap of Sittellas and Striated Pardalotes.
