Hi all
I didn't go out over the long weekend (for NSW at least) as I had things to do at home, but staying put at my place is no bad thing...over the weekend I recorded: - first Koel of the season (on Saturday) a female calling at about 12:30pm (just after midday) - I've heard her twice since but no males yet - Grey Goshawk over the house on Sunday at 10am, drifting southwards - lots of alarm calls but no chasers - juvenile White Breasted Sea Eagle heading north at 2:30pm, being chased by a Magpie
- Pacific Baza today to the south, being given real aggro by 2 Magpies

I went to the Sphinx Memorial car park in Ku-Ring-Gai Nat Park on Sunday evening for 30 minutes to see if the White Throated Nightjars were back yet. No sign or sound, although it was rather breezy so the calls could have been lost in the wind (he thought hopefully). I'll try again next weekend...
Cheers
