There is an Australian checklist posted on our website at www. cassowary-house.com.au and available to download. I made it up in 2004 when I got tired of waiting for a current definitive national checklist, and have tried to keep it updated ever since. Note my passerine family groupings will differ from currently accepted ones , based on preliminary advice about new DNA work. It details all the mainland species and potential splits, and has subsections at the end for the various additional species from the island territories, including those outside the Australasian faunal zone at Christmas Is. and Macquarie Is. Please feel free to download it, and do advise me of omissions, errors etc.
Thanks and good birding
Phil Gregory
