Dear allTook a short walk to the Avon River wetlands today (just east of Gloucester town, inland from mid North coast). First saw a pair of Hobbys, then a pair of Black-shouldered Kites with the male giving food to the female who flew to a high branch and ate whatever it was. Also 3 royal Spoonbills and a pair of White-necked Herons. Lots of very noisy Tawny Grassbirds easy to see, the Clamorous Reed Warblers are back, also noisy, but still no Koels or Channel-billed Cuckoos. In the town park this arvo were about 10 Yellow-black Cockatoos feeding in a big red gum and a few White-headed Pigeons. =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.comTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
