RFI spotting scopes

I purchased an angled Nikon scope from binoculars.com in February.  They were having a sale so I managed to get both scope and a lightweight tripod for around $700 - and that included postage!  I can't recall the exact model off the top of my head, but I do know binoculars.com didn't have it available last time I checked (they still had the straight version).

It's a great scope.  The zoom on the eyepiece isn't perfect, focus is lost very easily, but at low magnification the image is clear and crisp.  I've found the same with binoculars - buying a Japanese brand you sacrifice a tiny bit of quality and a LOT of price compared to European brands.

Hi Martin et al,
We are not Wader experts, either, but wanted to do some wader
watching, and had fairly restricted budget, so last Christmas
purchased an Acuter Scope 20-60x mag. Says it's waterproof, though
we've been inclined not to test it. I've also knocked it over once,
and apart from some scratches on the casing, seems to have fared OK.
Cost around $250 I think, and we're quite happy with it.
