Nice one Tom,
Chris Glen and I recorded a flock of about 30 White-browed and 5 Masked
Woodswallows at Samsonvale Cemetery on 17 November last year (2006). We
reported this on the Birds Queensland sightings page (I think I was too
scared to post on Birding-Aus back in those days, in fear of big scary
experienced birdos you doubt too much!). I believe others subsequently saw
them on following days.
On the same day M. Frost and J. Morgan reported 4-6 White-browed
Woodswallows at Minnippi Parklands on Brisbane's southside.
Another recent SE Queensland sightings (taken from the Birds Qld page) is
of 8+ Masked Woodswallow at Coombabah Sewage Ponds (Gold Coast) on
03/06/07, reported by M. Hanley and L. Dick.
Cheers, Pete Kyne (Brisbane)

Hi All,
Just had a large mixed flock of White-browed and Masked Woodswallows heading
in a northerly direction over our property at Kobble Creek (45 kms NW
Brisbane) at 17.20hrs this afternoon (12 Sept 07)
Might be worth checking Samsonvale Cemetery out as the last time there were
flocks around (several years back) they hung around the area for a few days.
Tom
