Walked through the park this morning on way to work and saw a White-necked Heron perched in a dead tree on an island in the Duck Pond - haven't seen one of these in the district for several years and a new bird for my park list. Also saw Baillon's Crake (great views) and Tawny Grassbird singing away in reeds on Willow Pond but surprisingly no snipe as yet. Cheers, Frank (Mr.) Frank Hemmings Curator John T.
