Hi Fiona,

Walk through the dunes between the Monkey Mia carpark and the beach. 
You should have no troubles. The birds are very approachable. 

It's not a bad birding carpark. Claire and I had Southern Scrub-robin 
and White-browed Babblers in the carpark also.
