Thanks David for such an interesting contribution. Having spent our last holidays in Australia and Sri Lanka and our next in Madagascar, and previously been to the Galapagos - four very different "islands" - your comments certainly helped put things in perspective. The concept of, and differences between, Oceanic islands and Continental Islands seems very useful. Rosemary Royle |
