Dear All, I conduct a weekly count of a high tide roost in Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island (across Moreton Bay from Brisbane). Today I counted 43 Lesser Crested Terns using the roost. This species primarily occurs in Southeast Qld in winter, but I have not previously seen anywhere near this number anywhere on Moreton Bay. On most occassions only one to a few birds are observed. Cheers, Pete Kyne Dunwich, North Stradbroke Island, Qld =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
