I was working at home today and got a phone call from a neighbour who
lives further along my street, saying a bird "like an eagle" was on
the power line looking at the chooks, and could I come and tell her
what it is. Well I was out the door in a flash, and halfway there
when I heard a Grey Goshawk call, and as I got there I saw it take
off and glide down into the gully. It was a grey morph, the same as
the one I saw here in early February (perhaps it's the same bird).
Fortunately I have neighbours who are interested in native birds!
