Thanks, did you listen to that recording? Would you say that sounds like a fox (it should, unless whoever recorded it accidentally recorded an owl)? I listened to a few on that site, and it seems like there are quite a few different ones. I wouldn't describe the recording or what I heard as a high pitched wheeze. This is apparently a mating call.
