------
Barking Owl used to roost regularly in my garden in Parap, until most of the
other established gardens in the vicinity were turned into blocks of units.
My most evocative meeting with Barking Owl came the day my sister died.
When, only a couple of hours later, I caught an injured owl, my Indigenous
sister-in-law said it was a sign. I only found out what she meant, when not
long after she died too.
