Hi Judith,

Dr James Nicholls studied Satin bowerbirds at Lamington NP and the Bunya
Mountains NP for his PhD at the University of Queensland. He would probably
be able to provide you with more information on whether any of these
populations have been banded. He is currently working in Scotland and you
can email him at

Cheers,
Beth Symonds
Brisbane.

Does anyone have/ know of a banded population of Satin Bowerbirds
close to Brisbane? I'm particularly looking at 'green' birds with
brown beaks, i.e. those females & young males that look similar --
with banding info that IDs the sex of each bird.

Many thanks.
Judith.
