Hi Keith,
Nice photo. The bird is most certainly a Jacky Winter. Isabelline Wheatears
have longer legs and a more chat like structure as they spend considerable
periods of time walking on the ground.
For a nice pic of the only Australian record to date (showing those long
legs) check out Tony Palliser's pic at

Dear Friends,
I have just got back from 10 days up on the Murray at Mildura to do some
bird photography, and had some great luck.
The highlight being a photo of what seems to be the Vagrant Isabelline
Wheatear taken at Kings Billabong just outside Mildura, this as to be
confirmed and is being looked at by members of PENBOC.
I also got other good shots of the Major Mitchell's Cockatoo, White-Winged
Fairy-Wren, Mulga Parrot, Splendid FairyWren, Inland, Thornbill,
Apostlebird, Australian ringneck, Yellow-Throated Miner, Yellow (Little)
Thornbill, Yellow-Plumed Honeyeater, Weebill and sightings of many more,
including a very good photo of a Mistletoebird.
The weather up there was very sunny in the daytime but down to -3 overnight
on a couple of days and zero most others. I have included the photo of the
Vagrant and would welcome your opinions and advice.
