If you read the scientific literature you will find plenty of justification
for recent splits. For example perhaps you could start with Frank Rheindt's
article in Birding Asia No 5 "Splits galore: the revolution in Asian leaf
warbler systematics", before casting aspersions on the integrity of those
responsible for the latest edition of this work.
