Hi all,
This thread reminded me of several sightings of lorikeets in Mildura, NW Vic
over the Easter break (8-9 April). Most surprising was four Rainbow
Lorikeets near Chaffey Secondary College. Two Musk Lorikeets were also seen
feeding in flowering Spotted Gum in the same area. I've seen Musk in the
district before but these were the first Rainbows for the area that I can
recall.

More recently I had two lots of two Scaly-breasted Lorikeets west and south
west of Hamilton (western Victoria) with 10s of Rainbow Lorikeets. These are
exceptional westerly records for Scaly-breasted Lorikeets. They presumably
originated from the Melbourne population.

Cheers,
Rohan Clarke
