There is far more that we don't know about the impact of wind turbines on
all 
wildlife than what we do know.  We know that in at least some grassland
nesting 
species of birds, a wind turbine creates a zone of exclusion where these 
species will not nest.  This is a big concern in the part of the States
(Kansas 
and the Flint Hills tall grass prairie region) where I live.
