My only thought is that sounds plausible enough. I read a similar
scientific paper a few months ago, which I'll provide a link to if I
can remember where I put it. I can't remember the figures, but
remember thinking that we've been fed some myths about how bad wind
turbines really are for birds, conversely though, no-one else had
mentioned bats.
I'll have a look for the paper. Or, was there a reference in the NS
article? I've got acces to some good library databases.
