Dear Birders,

Each morning I walk to my office in Randwick, a distance of some
1.5kilometres. Most, but not all, mornings, I am fortunate enough to
be met, on
the road outside my flat, by a fly-past of Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos. In
a flock some 15 to 20 strong, they fly very low up the ridge - softly,
magestically and almost silently North. At 3pm, on the days I work from
home, I first hear, then watch, a larger flock sweep South across the Coogee
Valley. Where they go, I know not - and am glad for it.

Regards,
Tom.
