John,
I found a reference to a publication from 1866 called New Zealand Exhibition,
1865: Reports and Awards of the Jurors. It's held at the National Library of
New Zealand (2 copies). The original reference I found to it was relating to
geological records - the first description of a mineral called Taranakite in NZ.
The exhibition was in Dunedin, but no indication in the NLNZ catalogue record
of whether it was a scientific exhibition or something more general, but the
volume is over 500 pages, so it must have been a large-ish event!

While in my occupation of the endless entering of distributions and synonyms on
my website, I cam across an abbreviation for a New Zealand journal that I have
never run across before.
It's New Zealand Exh, and dates from 1866.
Can anyone enlughten me on the full title of this journal? Could it be a typo
for Exch (ie Exchange)?
