Hi Evan, YES, NO, YES. Yes, this has been discussed previously, at length, on B-A (really there is no discussion needed). No, Frogmouths, Nightjars etc. are predatory but are not raptors but are often grouped in books etc with owls, for convenience. Yes, they would have strong talons and a beak for killing things, to be a raptor and you've got it right, they don't and they're not. Philip |
