MarleneOn Tuesday 10/4/07 I saw a large flock of major mitchell cockatoos just below Stuarts well( I was heading south) just before the turn off to Orange Creek. Today we walked west on Larapinta trail, from STandley Chasm and saw painted finches on five separate occassions. I suspect however that htere are easier places to see them as it is a long and steep walk to Brinkley's bluff where we went-painted finches were up in high areas on rocks in spinifex areas. Gary |
