Hi all,
Over the past few months I have been regularly visiting a local wader roost for the purpose of
photographing some of the shorebird species there as they change into their breeding plumages.
The roost is in the small "fishing" village called Toorbul which is located on the mainland side of
Pumicestone passage about an hour drive north of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
See Brisbane UBD Refidex Maps 41 and 51. The main roost is at the southern end of The Esplanade but
there are other roosts between the main roost and Delisser Av.
For the past few days I have been placing a number of those photos into on-line
albums.
To see these images go to:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ptiloris463
Warning: This is a high band-width area and would be best viewed using a
broadband connection.
Also, the site itself can sometimes be a little slow and not totally intuitive.
Sorry, I can't do anything about that but I am sure that, if you persist, you
will be glad you did.
On the entry page (single) click on the "Collections" link beside the Jacana icon (no need to wait
for the complete page to load).
Then (single) click on the "Shorebirds of Toorbul" mosaic icon.
Then (single) click on any of the 'set' icons.
I suggest you then (single) click on the first thumbnail of the set and then progress through the
whole set.
As I say, the interface is not totally intuitive; to return to the set in this collection (single)
click on the "The Shorebirds of Toorbul" link under the thumbnails on each of the single image
pages.
If you get 'lost' simply start again by clicking on "Collections".
Don't click on "home".
To see other images I have stored online click on a link which says: "ptiloris463's Photostream" or
"ptiloris463".
Good luck.
